I have the old BR footplate black book and the good firing guide etc but none of them even mentions priming, let alone explains it. Can anyone point me in the right direction? It is also interesting that none of the old BR/LMS films that I have seen so far seem to mention priming either. Thank you in advance, Glenn.

Thank you to all who made last night's Halloween specials possible and such a success. Congratulations, an excellent team effort. Les and I were on the 6pm train with two guests and we were all absolutely delighted by the experience. Such a splendid event, excitedly enjoyed by the children on board and adults alike. To pack so much entertainment into such a short time must have taken an endless amount of planning. I am aware of the amount of preparation that was going on throughout the day, the clean up and stowing of all the equipment must also have taken hours. Great job, great teamwork.

Wondering how it looks when I have more than one posting in a category.

I am able to volunteer on a regular basis for one Thursday per month. I am also available to volunteer on special occasions when lots of manpower is needed.
