On of your webmaster's favourite engines. SAR Class NG G11 Garratt steam locomotive No.NG55 hauling a mixed train approaching Ixopo, KwaZulu-Natal province, South Africa.
The loco was built in 1925 and spent most of its working life on the Estcourt-Weenen line. It now runs on the Paton’s Country Narrow Gauge Railway, a preserved railway line.
